If it's not a bug, then "Preview" is a misnamed feature. Anything that shows the old values is not really a preview.
The current behavior limits PmWiki's potential to do some interesting applications that rely on PTVs. Because I use PTVs heavily, I have to remove preview capability from my edit form!
