Guys,
This long awaited simple PmWiki login/self-registry mechanism really works!
(It’s at Cookbook/UserAdmin/"To install with user & authentication information
in SiteAdmin.AuthUser page:”)And it is easy to customize the various headings
and instruction/direction menus.
Our gratitude and kudos to Peter Bowers, Eemlio Aro , Pm, Hans and others who
have contributed so much time and effort to make this finally happen!
Initially I couldn’t make it work until Pm suggested I put the
“include_once("$FarmD/scripts/authuser.php");” at the bottom of my config.php
file.
There is one bug, however:
At the “Register as a new user” menu, if, in the slot for “User Name” you
should insert two names, it will not activate the new account. It just provides
an activation key number, which does not work.
I found this bug because I substituted “Your real name” in place of “User
name.”
User names tend to be one word. For “Your real name” people are likely to
insert first and last names, which is what I want.
