Thanks for your reply Eric.

Yes I can always try that too. I would just like to understand what happened,
why does upgrading firefox messed up the editing abilities of my local wiki.

I use the Wiki with a local server (standalone installation), no connection
whatsoever to the internet. Therefore I was not at all concerned about
upgrading or security issues.

It does work on Chrome. Does it not suggest that the problem is actually in
Firefox and not in my version of PmWiki ?

Hello,

I have checked the troubleshooting, FAQ and mailing list archive, but not found
a similar problem.

My old working version of PmWiki 2.1.26 runs on localhost (PHP/4.4.0). After
upgrading from Firefox 3.6.x to 6.0.2, editing Wiki pages does not work
anymore. I can enter the edit box, type in something, but when submitting I get
this error message :

“Unable to connect - Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at
localhost.”

“The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.”
“If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.”
“If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.”

After that, even displaying the Wiki pages does not work anymore. Closing then
restarting the local server puts the wiki back on tracks, but editing still
does not work. Please take note that I did not upgrade or change anything on
PmWiki before the problem appeared, and I suspect it is linked with my recent
upgrade of Firefox.

Does anybody know what is going on ? Would upgrading of PmWiki help ?

Best regards

MM
