I had looked at both of those sites before submitting my questions.
I just hadn't realize that SiteAdmin.Blocklist was "my" page to modify as I see fit.
Once I unblocked "porn" I was no longer, as administrator, blocked from modifying my own home page.
The question remains:why should SiteAdmin.Blocklist overrule the actions of an actual, loged-in administrator.
