Which recipe? If it is the http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/FreeMind recipe, your browser needs to support JavaScript and either Flash or Java.
If the browser does show Flash objects or Java applets on other sites, but not on the wiki pages with embedded FreeMind, I'll investigate the problem.
