Chrome's behavior is even odder than I had thought.

I directly entered the URL for the small image, as you suggested. It was
displayed. After I did that, the image displayed in both my farm and local
wiki. However, I then noticed that my farm wiki *didn't* display another small
image for which I hadn't directly entered a URL. I had thought that under
Chrome the farm was displaying all the images while the local wiki wasn't - but
apparently that was not the case.

I tried looking at Chrome's developer tools' network panel, as you suggested.
At first, it listed the image, and the image also appeared on the browser page.
On another tab, however, I have the same exact URL, and yet no image - even if
I refresh.

To make matters more confusing: when I opened the developer tools Chrome told
me to refresh the page to see the network activity. Each time I do that, I
usually briefly see the image listed (The Initiator is "Other" whatever that
means), then it disappears from the list. However, at one point it didn't
disappear from the list, so I could look at it clearly, but it's gone again now.

One thing I'll mention in case it is potentially relevant: I have a password
set on my web directory. But that shouldn't matter - Chrome IS receiving the
image, and even displaying it sometimes.

It's bizarre to be looking at two Chrome windows with the exact same URL side
by side, and to refresh each and consistently get one with an image and the
other without. So I'm now more confused than ever about what's going on!
