Anyways, if your session expires, the captcha is not validated and you should see the edit form again...
yes, this is exactly what appens, but this not very comfortable for end users. Sometimes, they don't see th error message "wrong captcha code" because it is displayed at the end of the page, after all comments, just before the edit form, near the buttons.
May be it will be more usefull if i invert the order of fox forum (last up, older bottom).
