Americans, War Crimes, and Right Wing Demagogues
I have to start this mentioning right-wing demagogues because I have to
get steamed over the insensitivity and pure stupid attitude of a
right-wing who excuses the actions of the Bush administration -- who find
more wrong with getting an on-the-job blow job than war and snuffing out
people's lives (or kicking their dog) and of course I'm referring to my
daughter's dumb, dumb, live-in boyfriend. (And she is a liberal. Go
figure!) That said, we can move on [g]....
The United States has not ratified declarations which guarantee human
rights. The United States opposed the International Criminal Court
because it would be subject to those laws and we know the U.S. doesn't
want anyone looking over its shoulder when it violates laws of decency and
proper behavior. The United States and Somalia are the ONLY countries in
the world that has not ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child
(CRC) ---- Look it up..
I expect all of you to look these things up. You need to gather all the
information you can and always verify the truth, as I do. If these things
don't get you incensed, I don't know what will... Gather the information
and tell others. The U.S. is the only really ROGUE state I know because it
makes wars with impunity and it violates international norms. It does this
and still talks the talk; but does not walk the walk about human rights.
The United States is the ony industrialized nation that has REFUSED to
ratify the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Deiscrimination
Against Women (CEDAW. The United States has NOT ratified the Covenant on
Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR).
AND for those declarations the United States does ratify, it attaches
conditions which undermine their effectiveness. The U.S. has REFUSED to
ratify the International Criminal Court. George W. Bush withdrew from the
Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty.
The U.S. walked out of the World Conference Against Racism. It did this in
deference to Israel when it believed the conference was stacked against
Israel - but it could have done a lot more good by staying in the
conference.
And the United States; that is, George W. Bush, war criminal; launced an
attack on Iraq for which it DID NOT HAVE APPROVAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS
SECURITY COUNCIL. It effectively destroyed the UN by taking those
unilateral steps to conduct an unprovoked war of aggression. The UN should
have/could have condemned the U.S. in the strongest terms, but the UN and
everyone else on this planet are afraid of the power of the world's only
real super-power. Only Germany and France (and the Russians) stepped up to
the bat on this one and they have been denied contracts; that is, the
BOOTY in Iraq because of it. There may not be any booty if the insurgency
continues and I suspect it will get worse.
Because George Bush initiated this war of aggression without approval of
the world and no legality within the rights granted to states by the UN,
he is guilty of crimes no different than those perpetrated by the Nazis
who were ultimately tried at Nuremburg in 1948.

"Key was the "crimes against humanity" prohibition stemming from the
conscious slaughter of six million Jews, leftists, gypsies and others
by the Nazi fanatics." (ibid)
"But also crucial was the ban on unprovoked attack by one nation
against another. The explosive fuse that set off World War II was the
September 1,1939 Nazi attack on Poland, which was unprovoked by any
stretch of the military imagination. By all accounts it was an act of
aggression and conquest, which led ultimately to as many as 50 million
deaths over the next six years." (ibid)
"Article VI of the Nuremburg Charter defines "Crimes Against Peace" as
"planning, preparation, initiation or waging of war of aggression, or
a war in violation of international treaties. . .or participation in a
common plan or conspiracy. . .to wage an aggressive war."" (ibid)
Hitler also similarly used the same justification that George Bush used.
George Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction. Hitler lied about a
non-existent Polish Army preparing to attack Germany. Any lie will do!
Hitler said,
"In starting and waging a war it is not right that
matters, but victory."
George W. Bush argued that the war was "preemptive" -- to prevent
Saddam from attacking us or anyone else -- even though we supported
Iraq's war against Iran and America's hands are hardly clean -- and
regardless of the fact that Iraq had NOT attacked anyone in at least 12
years and was not about to since the country was effectively in disaray
and no air force to speak of and definitely did not have the will to
attack anyone nor the ability. Bush invoked "preemption" because of his
imagined "gathering threat," which never really existed. Nazis were
hanged after Nuremburg for fabricating the same kind of lies. It didn't
work for them --- and it should not work for Bush.
