Mark (and others): Read the posting policy for PNEWS-L. You obviously have not done so and you are are a newbie on the InterNUT. There are appropriate procedures. PNEWS-L is the oldest "progressive" news and views list on the NET. Yahoogroups is only our latest incarnation since the LISTSERV at St Johns University no longer provides listserver space on their servers. We will most likely migrate soon back to Escartis management software and I will host it on my own dedicated servers.
We do not republish digests on PNEWS-L. In fact we did not previously accept articles, unless they were original. The proper method for posting info tied to an article is to do it via a link. Another-words, POINTERS are appropriate for a discussion list, not full articles and then only if they are progressive and pertinent to the items enumerated in the intro to the list. You can also read PNEWS-L in the other net archives (that information was posted here a few days ago - there are at least 4 of them.) Henceforth we will not accept articles from anyone - UNLESS they are original article. POINTERS and discussion only will be acceptable. AND stay on topic. The focus right now should be that which is most important to our survival; the getting rid of Bush by impeachment and trial in the Senate or making his administration irrelevant by exposing his lies and through activism - to be discussed in the forum. AND we must also be concerned about the weather and trying to save other species - no more or less so than the sorry ass human species which has fucked up the environment and everything else. If you can live with that you are welcome to post. And that goes for everyone else. There are 720 subscribers here and they do not want to be inundated with a lot of irrelevant, non-progressive articles by someone else. Everyone: Read the posting policy.
