The line between gullible and informed expands rapidly with life experience.
Unfortunately many (some in this forum) have lived a very narrow limited life
experience and believe what they see with their narrow inexperienced view of
the world they live in. Believing in things based on current situations ignores
history.
I joined this forum to expand my view of social thinking with an open mind,
without argument, just to listen.
And the uninformed have trusting relationships with those they love.

  Subject: [PNEWS-L] Gullibility vs. Misinformation

Sometimes there's a fine line between being gullble and being able to
distinguish misinformation. It may be argued that "I only believe what I see".
What that means is that one only believes in things regarding his current
situation. The trouble with this point of view is that it leaves the individual
without any trusting relationships.

The Infowar News website is full of disinformation. I should have realized

woos many on the left - coalescing the conspiracy nuts of right and left
against a common enemy whereas, the enemy of the left are right wing lies.

There is little else to unite the conspiracists - except a common hatred
for Israel. Judge for yourself. Of course there are conspiracies, but too
often conspiracies are cover-ups for the truth. Fascism doesn't have to
hide behind conspiracy theories. Fascism is a fact.

I'm certain some of you will disagree with me, but I guarantee that I can
match the facts any day against Alex Jones' misinformation. If it is hate
you need to stir your blood you can find it there; that is for sure. But
if you want _honesty_ don't bother with Alex Jones because that you won't
find on his radio shows or his websites. Jones, Eastman, Icke, Rense - and
dozens of others (I would not be surprised to discover are part of a
Cointelpro operation) who may be intentionally attempting to dilute the
real mission of a viable left with their right wing distortions of fact
and the divisions they sow on the left.

If the left does not stand for truth, it stands for nothing at all.
