How indeed do so many go along? I believe it to a high degree the "mob
mentality." It is not so difficult to lead people to do bad things. I've
managed over 1,500 workers when I was managing all of Eastern NC in the
1990 Census for the Commerce Department and it was incredibly easy to
motivate them to follow our/my plan because most people are followers.
When I was younger I just knew in my own mind that it just did not make
sense that there were so many bad Germans and as I grew in my own
experiences in military school and the army and how brainwashing can
effect the way people think about what they are ordered to do and it
doesn't matter very much that the normal behavior is no longer moral
because the so-called "normal" morality is taught.
And if they believe the enemy is bad they can do bad things to these bad
people. If they think Jews or in this case Muslims are all evil they can
kill Muslims. I believe Islam also very much teaches that killing
Christians and Jews is acceptable and so we have two "evils" which will
try to kill each other and will act very much like the fascists they all
have become. Neither of them are progressives and unfortunately that gives
more imputus to immoral behavior by soldiers and by insurgents. We are
definitely in the middle place --- as Israel has been from the beginning.
