War of Survival Israel is on the front lines of both the "Global" Jihad and the Orwellian revisionist propaganda front and their dominant spokespersons from the fringe component of both the political left and the right; conspiracists of course and Muslims. * Left wing "Marxist" academics believe antisemitism is a false battle and the result of bourgeousie world view inherent in capitalism. What everyone who doesn't like Israel wants; really wants, is for the Jews to get out of Israel. They don't believe Jews are entitled to the land. The same criteria which is applied to everyone else can never be applied to the Jews. The Jews are always causing trouble, they say. Jews are devils, Christ killers and they have far too much power - although in the real world it is an incredible assertion to think Jews are so powerful. What they are is determined not to die. "A review of Palestine, before the era of prsperity began with the late nineteenth-century renewal of Jewish land settlement, shows that periodically Palestine was virtually laid waste, and its population suffered acute decline." (written by Joan Peters in Time Immemorial). The record is full of facts to support that Israel was a waste-land until Jews began to arrive again and to develop the land. With the Jews came Arabs who were looking for work and they settled there. Sure they did. Who wouldn't want a better life, which is what development and an improved economy could provide for them. But, it was the Jews who provided economic improvement in their management of the land, not the Arabs who came and went over the centuries but the Jews came and stayed. For them there was no other choice. Whereas Arabs could go anywhere. Peters wrote that "One historian after another has reported the same finding." And they did. Carl Hermann Voss in The Palestine Problem Today, Israel and Its Neighbors (1953) said: "In the twelve and a half centuries between the Arab conquest in the seventh century and the beginnings of the Jewish return in the 1880's, Palestine was laid waste. Its ancient canal and irrigation systems were destroyed and the wondrous fertility of which the Bible spoke vanished into desert and desolation...Under the Ottoman empire of the Turks, the policy of disfoliation continued; the hillsides were denuded of trees and the valleys robbed of their topsoil..." Don Cassius (also quoted in Time Immemorial) wrote: "Of their forts the fifty strongest were razed to the ground. Nine hundred and eighty-five of their best-known villages were destroyed." (Cassius wrote History of the Romans, cited by de Haas, History) These were not Arab villages, these were Jewish villages that were destroyed by invaders and interlopers. The only non-interlopers have been the Jews.... There is much, much more to this record of the times, but I don't want to bore you with details everyone should know by now -- and the Arab telling is revisionist spin for the sake of rewriting history. I suggest reading Time Immemorial as a good place to start. This product of a non-Jew who started out to prove the Palestinian case and ended up writing a history which supported the Jewish case for Israel has been criticized by Arab apologists and the left but their charges of "poor scholarship" is never enough to counter the truth. (read more about it at http://pnews.org/archives/) Israel is under seige once again and again is being accused of disproportionate force and condemned for collateral damage, even though it is Israel which has been attacked by Palestinian Hamas and Hezbollah from Lebanon, both organizations supported by Iran and Syria. The war George Bush started against Iraq is now spilling over into Iran and Syria by way of attacks on Israel. If there is a "war on terrorism" it is the war Israel has been fighting against Arabs for her very survival since Jews began to re-establish its claim to the land that Jews never left, which they developed and created the economic activity which makes it a prize to be pillaged by Islamic conquest; a conquest which will never be allowed to happen.
