Dear POD people,

I've uploaded a new POD to HTML converter on PAUSE, my id id MAREKR and
the tarball is MarekPodHtml-0.40.tar.gz. It uses its own namespace
(Marek::*, suggested by Andreas Koenig), so it won't confilict with the
existing ones for now.

I've already discussed this with several people, including Brad Appleton,
Nick Ing-Simmons, Norbert Gruener, Wolfgang Laun and I was encouraged to
put this on CPAN. I'd like to invite you to have a look at it and the
results it produces. Try

  mpod2html -dir ./html -inc -script -libpods perlfunc,perlvar,perlrun

This should give you a complete conversion of your installed Perl core and
modules, with TOC and index etc. Be sure you have the most recent
HTML-Tree, HTML-Parser, PodParser installed. Don't expect this program to
be fast - it is not, but I hope the quality of the conversion will make
the performance acceptable.

I'd be happy if - after some enhancements and fixes - this package could
replace the existing POD to HTML converters on CPAN, so that there is "one
fits all" and the development efforts can concentrate on one package.

What do you think?

All the best,

Marek
