Might I suggest that in the interests of easier internationalisation and localisation the habit of automatically and more importantly, unconditionally, inserting English words be strongly discouraged, or at least easily overrideable? Moreover, I tried searching the new perlpod and perlpodspec, but couldn't find much mention of the i18n/l10n issues (what if somebody wants to write pods in Italian?) (Maybe I just didn't find the discussion.) Maybe we should define that now, too?
