Can we talk a little about the POD::Rtf mess please? I had a look at the Pod::Simplify version today and fixed it's POD::RTF a bit. But I had to rename it to POD::SimplifyRTF because of nameclashes with two other POD::Rtf (esp. in windows with it's case-insensitive filenames) This is sad because Pod::Simplify had the very first POD::RTF, the other should be forced to rename...
Peter Prymmer's Pod2WinHlp uses this namespace also and Aldo Capini's POD::RTF inside his WIN32::GUI package. But this only formats RTF for GUI output, not as the others which produce merely hcw/hcrtf compatible winhelp format. I'm the author of the very first pod2rtf 1996, which still works fine for me, and is featurewise more advanced than the new versions. For example I have a version which automatically fixes index name clashes, calls the old hcp.exe or new hcrtf.exe, uses a default upper window, ... And then there's the most advanced POD tool, Marek's Pod::Compiler. This really should be the base for a POD::RTF for the perl pod's. -- Reini Urban http://xarch.tu-graz.ac.at/home/rurban/
