".../..." inside L<> -- podchecker bug ?

The following hyperlinks :
    L<"I/O Operators">
    L<perlop/"I/O Operators">
trigger a podchecker warning (using bleadperl) :
    node 'I/O Operators' contains non-escaped | or /
The solution is to escape the /, but my question is :
is it a podchecker bug ? Shouldn't the / be allowed inside quotes ?
perlpodspec (and other manpages) are not very clear about it. (Please
forgive me if I can't read the docs ;-)
