I had some problems with the HTML-formatings of your mail, but after
converting to plain text I applied your patch.
It took me some time to figure out what you're doing... As I'm not sure if
the '#line N' trick also works in modules etc, I changed your code a bit to
actually replace POD with comments ("# stripped POD").
