Might help Marc > Green, our Google Summer of Code student, to get started on porting the > Perl core Pod tools from Pod::Parser to Pod::Simple… I know this is in the subject, but just to be clear, just in case, Sean Burke did indeed do the initial port of pod2man and pod2text to Pod::Simple, and that has been subsequently incorporated into podlators (which I maintain) and into Perl core, so pod2man and pod2text (and Pod::Man and Pod::Text) are good. I assume this is only about pod2html. There are tons of different POD to HTML conversion modules. Rather than porting the one that happens to be in Perl core, it may be better to incorporate one of the other ones that already uses Pod::Simple and remove the old one. -- Russ Allbery ([email protected]) <http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/>
