By the way, the version of PoDoFo I am using seems not able to support CIDFont,
which I wrote by myself. I don't know how about the current version.
If it still can not support CIDFont, maybe I can do something for your project.
On the other hand, I know that PoDoFo is using FreeType to download fonts now,
but I found that FreeType is not quite suitable in this sort of routines. At
least it is difficult to support subsetting, while subsetting is important for
CJK fonts.

I'm afraid I'm the last person to ask about this. I have no idea how
TrueType subsetting works and can only really direct you to the PDF
Reference. I think Dom was working on support for it in PoDoFo, though I
don't know what the present state of that code is.
