.Afm files are NOT font files, they are font METRICS files and completely
useless.
You will need to get actual fonts files in either Type 1, TrueType or OpenType
format.

I want to use fonts that are not available on system, I have the font files but
was wondering how can I do that. Any example ?
The files I want to use are with extension '.afm'
