I'm sorry for a long delay. I committed your fix with a little change,
instead of returning empty string at the end I made it return the same
what it used to return before your change. Committed as revision 1839:

By the way, my gcc claimed that the pFont parameter is unused in the
new code, which may or may not be a problem. In any case, the test.pdf
works fine now.
