okay, I've no problem with the change.
I'd say PoDoFo can be made more forgiving on more places, to allow load
of certainly broken PDF files (not that it's this case).
I made the change as you suggested as r1946:

Ideally propose changes as attached patches the next time, it's more
convenient and avoids mistakes when applying the change.
