It took me a while to answer to this.  First, I don't think you owe me an
apology, really.  I've been poking you hard about this, without really
explaining what I'm talking about.  Second, I've been really busy...

Anyway, why i'm ranting about object layers, addressing, routing and so
on is because of what follows.  Take a look at

This is how POE currently works.  You will note that there is a lot of
duplicate code in all the object layers and IKC and so on.

What I hope to have possible is this :

Of course, one type of monitoring, etc won't suit everybody... but that's
a different story.
