So, in my recent experience building Po:Co:DBIAgent, I had to go thru some
really annoying chicanery to sucessfully pass a Storable record via a
line-oriented interface. I ended up having to define my record seperator as
a Network Newline(tm), eg "\r\n" because it turns out Storable embeds \n in
its records nowadays.

So... I'm looking at the new Poed website and on the main POE page it talks
about Filter::Reference and how it uses Storable... meaning obviously some
workaround for the problem I mentioned came up.

So,

does anybody have any tips for alternative solutions? Yeah my idea worked
but it felt dirty.

(or now that I think of it, mebbe I shoulda used Filter::Reference instead
of Filter::Line. <sigh>)

TIA!

Rob
