Hello! i am setting up a client/server architecture with POE and wanted to open it up to the local lan, but even there i would like to reduce the risk of abuse....
its a university lan, so there are a lot of sniffers and potentially dangerous users hanging around.... the data send over between client and server is not critical, and i don't mind beeing it in cleartext, but there should be some sort of user authentification and session marking.... i looked at http://phydeaux.org/perl/ and its SSL socketFactory, but the alpha tag isn't very encouraging, and sseing that this thing didn't move for 2 years either.... so if someone has another suggestion i will gladly take it ! -- ciao bboett ============================================================== [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://inforezo.u-strasbg.fr/~bboett ===============================================================
