Fellow, POEvangelists, Recently I have been hacking away at POE::Wheel::Run in the vain attempt to make it run another instance of the perl executable sucessfully.
I had a vaguely viable solution which I committed to POE svn, but I have had to roll back my commit earlier today after a crisis of confidence in it's handling of things like SIGINT etc. ( The low down is that a CTRL-C interrupt would leave spawned processes running on MSWin32 ). The solution that I had come up uses Win32::Process within the forked process to launch a new instance of perl. Now this works great until one unexpectedly terminates the POE process doing the launching. The code is here -> http://gumbynet.org.uk/poe/POE_Wheel_Run.pm If anyone has any suggestions, improvements. etc. please email me. Many thanks in advance, -- Chris Williams aka BinGOs PGP ID 0x4658671F http://www.gumbynet.org.uk ==========================
