Ok, it seems this is not a POE problem, but a Win32::ChangeNotify. It stops working after a few minutes. Adding a new file, or removing one, fires up a change notify event in the first few minutes only. After some time this event does not get fired up anymore. This is the moment, when POE can not terminate anymore, because probably the shutdown event is not being processed by ChangeNotify. Regards, Andreas
