The latest "milestone" is 1.4583 (look off of downloads).  

The next release will be 1.5.  We'll probably have one more interim build.
I'd like to make sure this logging issue is finished before we have a 
release.

Had I realized what a big pain this would be (dealing with log4j 
changing and
the vast number of logging issues), I'd have written my own conditional 
precompiler
and left in Sys.outs!!
