It was that the xmlvalidate Ant tasl needs to have the classpath set, or else it searches for Crimson. I didn't know that it *needed* this classpath. It should be fixed, although I don't have JDK1.3 and I didn't test it. JDK1.3 is a 44Mb download, and I didn't have that much time ;-) If you still have problems, just remove the xmlvalidate task definition in ./tools/cents/forrest.cent/xbuild.xml and it should be ok. Now you should not need fresh checkouts, so from now on a cvs update will be just fine. Please let me know if you're still having problems.
