Hi All, We need to wrap the logo thing up soon. As it turns out I don't think the winning logo is legal. I got several negative views from folks with experience in such matters and basically its enough ammo to shut us down for awhile. We'd probably win a court battle, but that would be well the problem. I'm unable to find an ASF member whom is willing to take the matter to the legal body and our advisor is in the middle of the ocean somewhere on a sabatical of sorts. This means, its just up to us.
I move the following: 1. We disqualify the problematic but popular logo. 2. We start voting first for which logos will move to round 2 (you have the advice of the general populace as well), each committer can pick 2 3. We then vote among those, pick 1. 4. We vote among those. if we get to a dead lock then we'll try adding veto votes.
