I have no idea where to look it has been so long. If you email one of the developers on the openoffice "Word" equivalent they may point you in the right direction. The spec for 2000 and XP are built off of the spec for 97. I haven't actually seen these specs or anything but the documents created with these products are (mostly) backward compatible with Word 97.
