Well, it wouldn't make it slower because Document is just an interface. But 
I agree that tying it to a swing interface makes it less portable. I think a 
better idea would be looking into implementing MS's Word to XML idea and 
then if it can be exported as XML, everything else is a simple XSLT step 
from there. What do you think?
