What exactly does your code do? If its useful, its certainly welcome, with a couple of proviso's. We've gotten wary of code without testcases; also we like if the code contributor sticks around and works with us, rather than throw and run.
Having said that, you may want to describe what you have on the list, and attach a patch into bugzilla.
