From searching the site docs it's not clear to me whether we need a formal vote to do a development release but I thought I'd ask anyway. HEAD has been under development for a while now without any sort of release so I thought it would make sense to do some sort of development release. To give fair warning I propose to physically build the distribution on the 25th of June. If you've got anything you'd like to get in to this release make sure it's committed before then. I'm proposing to call this release 3.0-alpha1. Please indicate whether you're +1, 0 or -1.
