Got a long mail about infrastructure. Important and relevant pieces:

CVS and SVN
-----------
CVS will be disabled on January 1, 2006, and all projects need to have moved
to SVN by then. Any stability issues will have been resolved before that
date.

website publishing
------------------
We are working on a standardised way for publishing website content, eg the
current setup where you scp content over to minotaur which rsyncs that
content over to ajax which contains the public websites is going to change.
There's a bunch of people working on this plan and the needed tools on the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list, to which you can subscribe if you wish to
help out.

This means we'll actually have to start the SVN migration. I'll start getting it set up on my machine and offering committers the chance to play with it. Lets plan our migration in September or October at the latest. I know a number of people have some on going long CVS threads that would be a pain to merge into SVN if we went before then.

It would be nice if a committer can join the site-dev list and occassionally provide an update to the list. Its important that we make sure this is painless for us and make the proper preparations (i.e the build, etc) for this.
