Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself and make you guys aware of what I
think is an alternative to POIFS.

http://www.schemasoft.com/tools/structuredstorage.shtml

SMART Technologies (www.smarttech.com) uses OLE Compound Document Format for
it's SMART Notebook documents. We are developing a Java version of Notebook
and I'm responsible for making sure it can read/write documents in the old
format. The only utility we were aware of for letting a Java app do this was
Schemasoft's. Unfortunately it costs US$5000. I did some research and found
POI and it looks like just what I need.

I really admire you guys for all the effort you've put into this project and
the enthusiasm you have for it. I have a passion for good documentation and
good OO Design. I'm hoping I might be able to you guys out with
documentation of POIFS if I find any areas lacking or perhaps "Refactoring
POIFS into imput and output classes as well as an event-driven API for
reading". That is, if you guys are open to help in those areas.

Cheers,
