Hello all. I have run across a situation where I need to generate spreadsheets with POI that have drop down lists. I'm not an Excel guru, but I think I have narrowed down that drop down lists do not involve macros(I originally thought they did). In the Excel developers kit it looks like the DV and DVAL record types handles this stuff. So, before I attempt it I wanted to see if anyone else had tried this. Looks like the way it works in Excel you set a cells validation to "allow list" then assign a range of lookup cells that contain the values for the drop down list. Any help is much appreciated!
