I'm french. I'm working on a french NT 4 and testing on a french Excel.
The following line puts french accents in a cell :
HSSFCell cell = new ....
...
cell.setCellValue("test of accents \u00e7 \u00e1 \u00e2 \u00f4 \u00e8 \u00e9
\u00ea \u00eb \u00fb");
I know, it's not nice. But it's working. And it should work with other
languages.
