From the archive, I noticed that POI and Log4J have problems to work together. What is the current status?
I am currently using POI 1.5.1 version. My excel import component apparently stopped the project's logging function which depends on log4j 1.2 version because of POI. If I remove the poi's jar, the logging started work again no matter which version of common_logging-1.0 or 1.4 version. If POI cannot work properly, I probably will be forced to use other excel java api. Please advise the work around and current status on POI logging issues with log4j. How does the night release work in term of the logging problems?
