Its NOT a long, integer, double or anything that you think it is. If it says its a LABELSST in the file, its a string. This is EXCEL doing that, not POI. If you NEED to determine if the value is a long, integer, etc, use the corresponding Java classes (Integer, Long, Double, etc) and check. It would be INCORRECT for POI to interperate LABELSST as an integer and redundant for us to have functions to convert it to an integer.
