I take it you are trying to stream a excel file to the browser. I have had
similar problems and it all seems to be different depending on the browser
appserver and operating system the appserver is on.

I have had similar problems with other application type also.

Are you setting the content type in the header ?

Sorry, for inconvenience.
Yes, I am sending all my email at work with return receipt enabled.
I rushed this email and didn't uncheck the option.
I still hope that some of you had the same Windows XP problem and will be
able to help me resolve it.
Thanks.

I totally agree! It is friggin annoying. The list moderator (Andy) uses
Linux so he probably doesn't have to deal with this crap.

I don't mean to be rude, but I think find it kind of annoying when
people send email with receipt notification enabled to lists. I'm not a
list-mod or anything, but I would like to request, on my own behalf,
that people quit doing that. Do you really care that anyone on this
list has read this (think about this, most of the people on this list
can't help you)? Do you really want 100-something receipt
notifications? Do you send all of your email with this enabled for some
reason?

Subject: Windows XP - IE

For some reason all my users who are using Windows XP can not get the
OutputStream to
their IE browser. The NT and 2000 users are OK.
They get the "Open or Save" message from the browser and if they Open
they get null page, but if they Save they get a good file.
I know how to disable the message, so it would open it right away, but
they would not be able to get the file at all.
It seems like security file access settings on the browser, but I
matched them and they look the same.
I have Tomcat 3.3 and Java 1.3 on the server.
Please, let me know if anybody experience similar problem.
