My objective was to put the "Viewing" of a customer
Excel Spread sheet on-line using a JTable in a Java
Applet. Unfortunately these xls's contain PNG's.
I hate to redesign the customers business practice
but..... Bruce Houghton

Subject: Jpegs in HSSFCells

Apparently it's possible for an xls cell to contain a jpeg image. It appears that poi does not support this.

Would it be possible/desirable for poi to provide a method on HSSFCell
that returns binary contents as a byte array?
