Follow-up Comment #2, sr #1736 (project pokersource):
well, it's not the first explanation you offered for sure because they're
logged in no matter what. once they login they never go away unless the
poker-network service is restarted. i can't think of any other way of
explaining this except for giving more details and step by step of what takes
place.
1. open poker2d or 3d and this offers a place to put username and password.
enter this info.
2. click ok and login process takes place. no problem yet.
3. cash in, if needed, join table. still no problems.
4. play for awhile, or if just testing leave table and close the poker 2d or
3d program. still no problems.
5. try to re-enter the same way i just did and after inputting req'd info and
hitting ok the program/server tells me i am already logged in from some place
else.
now i have thought about there being a time out and have seen discussions of
the not having connection stolen. i don't think i'm experiencing the first
scenario you offered and i'm not sure about the second one as it may very
well be the problem.
is there a way to implement a logout feature so this doesn't happen?
or did i just overlook something during setup?
this maybe off topic and if it needs to be posted in a new thread i'll be
more than happy to accomodate. another issue that may be of interest is the
fact that i have been unable to get the poker-web database tables setup. the
code seems to be missing something according to mysql. it keeps telling me
that the ')' in the last line is wrong. now as i said earlier in this post
i'm able to do everything like cash in, cash out and what not without a
problem. does this database have a bearing on things anymore?
the setup i have is this:
feisty fawn 7.04 LAMP, amd 1.2GHz with 768MB RAM, on a dsl connection and
poker-network setup v.1.36.
hope all of this info helps.
thanks!
doug
