Yes; though it's not limited to Javascript, and in the case of
www.reversehttp.net, address assignment is also covered (so it's not
just for a private server-client link).

Could be: if you can structure your problem along the lines of HTTP
requests to each client, then yes. Other alternatives include Orbited
(http://orbited.org/) or using a messaging server like RabbitMQ
(http://www.rabbitmq.com/). (Disclosure: I am one of the authors of
RabbitMQ.)
