I've just switched from sqlgrey to policyd. First let me say "thanks" to Cami for this great piece of software and to the list for what I have learned reading the archives.
I would appreciate it if someone could clue me in on a question that the documentation does not make clear. There are a number of config file parameters that end in "EXPIRE" that determine when various records are flushed from the tables. I can't tell from the comments in the file exactly what's going on. For example: AUTO_WHITELIST_EXPIRE=7d Does this mean that from the moment an entry is added to this table, it will be removed seven days later? Does it mean that if the entry is not touched (no new messages from that sender) for seven days, it will be removed? Quite a difference in behavior and I don't know what to expect. The same question applies to a number of other parameters. BLACKLIST_HELO_AUTO_EXPIRE=7d Does this mean "blacklisted for a week" or "blacklisted until we haven't heard from them for a week"? Same for SPAMTRAP_AUTO_EXPIRE and so on. Thanks in advance for your help, Steve ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
