Hello, I am running postfix 2.4.0, and policyd 1.81
My setup is 1 server running policyd, and 3 smtp servers running postfix, using "check_policy_service inet:[10.10.10.10]:10031", connecting to the single policyd server. At most it is doing very well, but sometimes it bursts a LOT of logentries. It seems that a message is triggering something that I don't know, in either postfix or policyd. The log entries looks like this (One example of many of these bursts): Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34050, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=510/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=2/1000(483), thres hold=0|0|0 Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34051, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=765/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=3/1000(484), thres hold=0|0|0 Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34052, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=1020/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=4/1000(485), thre shold=0|0|0 Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34053, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=1275/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=5/1000(486), thre shold=0|0|0 Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34054, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=1530/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=6/1000(487), thre shold=0|0|0 Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34055, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=1785/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=7/1000(488), thre shold=0|0|0 Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34056, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=2040/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=8/1000(489), thre shold=0|0|0 Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34057, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=2295/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=9/1000(490), thre shold=0|0|0 Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34058, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=2550/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=10/1000(491), thr eshold=0|0|0 Apr 30 23:02:11 mail-maint postfix-policyd-sf: rcpt=34059, throttle=update(a), host=129.120.188.67, [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], size=255/104857600, quota=2805/104857600, count=1/1000(5), rcpt=11/1000(492), thr eshold=0|0|1 In this burst there are 185 lines like this. Didn't paste it to here though. It seems that, for every logline, it makes a MySQL lookup too. I don't know if this is a postfix or a policyd problem. Do you have any ideas why ?
