Well, I am not responsible for the debian package.
And, I think, debian will only include it, if GeoIP is in the original source.
Personally I (and some other Mailinglist members) have doubts about scoring
of nationality, race, religion or even OS (p0f comes to mind, I question
more and more the sanity of p0f in a pre DATA context).
For those reasons I made ethically questionable patches such as GeoIP only
available as patch on the main home-page. I think that's a good compromise.
I.e.: those who really want a gun, must do some work for it.
p.s.: did you contact B. Hajduk? He was the original author of the patch.
