Is there a way for/would make sense in tor to add a *mechanism* for telling
back to the originator the country of the exit node before it's first use
[packets forwarding]?

I am thinking: which *best* [== most anodyne] hostname could I let announce to
my proxy?

Example: if I am in Indonesia, and by using tor I am *borrowing* an IP from
Germany, it may not be the best idea to use a hostname such *garam* [== salt,
in bahasa Indonesia]; alternatively, if I am _not_ using tor, hostnames
such: benedict, rottweiler, yankee or fondue may not be too *everyday* when
used from Indonesia.

(Notice that there is no loss of generality also in the case of more
*educated* guesses from the side of the *watchers*, when it's apparent/known
by the latter that one is using tor--hence is telling *lies*--I mean. I
remember that, in a test I hade made for fun, my location/country of origin
has been guessed as Beijing/China [I am in Indonesia] while using tor: well
better than having told: Terra del Fuego, Gibraltar or Iceland, after all.)

Or say that I am in Finland: not sure that announcing hostnames such
panettone, cajun or serigala [== wolf] while being perhaps *original* may be
good choices too.

I am thinking that there is less flexibility and repertoire in trying to use
*generic*, or *international* so to speak, hostnames [what to use: colour's
names? mineral's names? ...] And to not give a hostname at all is not a
solution to become noticed the least unless everyone does so.

I have scripts which flush caches, overwrite proxy-configuration files and
reset daemons depending from my decision to use tor, or not, at a given
time. I would like to use a mini constant database with a selection of most
appropriate hostnames to be picked out at random every time I connect to the
Internet.

A similar approach should also be considered for setting user-agent [browsers]
identifiers.
