Well, since Polipo is fundamentally unsuitable for proxying streaming media (it doesn't apply flow control to the end-to-end path), I don't think Media Player is a significant issue. As I pointed out in a previous message, there are important efficiency reasons why Polipo handles half-open connections the way it does; it avoids a full round-trip of data being downloaded when the user hits « stop ». Since a full round-trip can be up to 30 seconds of traffic on a telephone line, I'm not willing to give that up. (Yes, I do have users who are still on dial-up, and some people are using Polipo with GSM links.) I'm sorry, Ming, but this is not going to change. Juliusz P.S.
