this is the text when i start polipo IN WINDOWS DNS: couldn't open /etc/resolv.conf: No such file or directory Disabling disk cache: path .cache/ is not absolute. Disabling local tree: path is not absolute. Established listening socket on port 8123. a later version DNS: couldn't open /etc/resolv.conf: No such file or directory Disabling disk cache: No such file or directory Disabling local tree: No such file or directory Established listening socket on port 8123. browsing to http://localhost:8123/ does not work browsing to http://localhost:8123/polipo does work. i try to change the disk cache directory but it doesnt accept the windows' method of specifying directories. eg: D:\cachepol.ipo (8.3 filenames or long filenames) it is obvious that im the first to try polip in windows as this problem would have been fixed by now. or, maybe noone is on this mailing list. is there any other good ones out there that are free? i tried squid but nobody would apply the patch for me (i dont know how) for it to work offline. cb. _________________________________________________________________ View photos of singles in your area!
